Frequently Asked Questions
So you think you might be interested in life coaching, but you have a few questions…
Where are you located? And do you only work with local clients?
I am based between Cary and downtown Raleigh, North Carolina but I work with clients all over the country and internationally. You have the choice of engaging in our coaching sessions in person, over the phone, or even via video chat.
What type of clients do you work with?
I work with clients who are seeking clarity, confidence and direction in their lives. My focus is helping people to stretch out of their comfort zones to experience more of their potential and add more excitement, joy and freedom to their careers and personal lives.
I work best with clients who are committed to their personal and professional growth, and know that this growth is an ongoing and exciting process.
How do I know if I am ready for coaching?
Since this is a partnership, you must be willing to be honest with yourself, address tough questions, be prepared to change behaviors, attitudes and ways of thinking, and most of all, be ready to make a time commitment for your sessions and actions in between.
What is a Professional Life Coach?
Professional Life Coaching is a confidential and collaborative relationship between a Life Coach (me) and a client (you). I will use listening skills and powerful questioning techniques that I have studied and mastered at the International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) accredited school Raleigh Coaching Academy (RCA).
Is coaching like counseling or therapy?
No, I am not a therapist nor do I dig into your past. Instead, I am equipped to inspire you with clarity and leadership to overcome the limiting beliefs and obstacles that you may have as a corporate wife/woman/mother/entrepreneur. I pride myself in providing 100% personalized sessions that spark thought and action, and I will guide you through the process of understanding and self-discovery.
What happens during a coaching session?
We collaborate together with the mission of achieving your goals. Our sessions can be used for exploration of ideas, brainstorming of new possibilities, discussion of strategies, and development of action plans. I will act as your supporter, sounding board, resource and motivator. I will ask you powerful questions that challenge your perspective, but you will always leave feeling motivated and equipped with the strategies to help move you forward. How long will it take me to achieve my goals?
This all depends on your goal, your commitment, and the amount of action you take between coaching sessions. Three months is the recommended minimum (and my most popular package) to begin to see results, but I am willing to work with anyone who is motivated to make a change.
